I'm Ale, a Product Designer who over the last 6 years has worked across a wide range of industries and product types. I work close to the team and close to the problem, from early decisions to final handoff. I like being in the room where things get decided, asking questions before it's too late, and staying involved until the end. I also teach design and prototyping on the side, which keeps me honest about what actually matters and what is just habit.
Collaboration is where most of the real work happens for me. I spend a lot of time with developers, PMs, and clients, not just handing off files but figuring things out together. Whether I'm building a design system, mapping out a complex flow, or going back and forth on a single interaction, I try to stay close to the craft at every scale. The details are part of the job, not a bonus round at the end.
Outside the screen, I cook, play bass and synthesizers, and travel with my partner Pía whenever we get the chance. We're both designers, so wherever we end up we're usually working, sketching, or collecting references without really meaning to. I'm also a big video game fan and my Nintendo Switch comes on every trip. At home we share the space with our two cats, Roma and Venus, who have pretty firm opinions about our work hours and who gets to use the office chairs. I grew up with a background in gastronomy before landing in design, and I think that attention to ingredients, timing, process, mise en place, and how something finally comes together is simply part of how I design today.
